Motorcycle Rentals and Self-Guided Tours

For people wanting to rent a motorcycle to explore the Carolina Mountains at their own pace, on their own budget and schedule, Blue Strada’s fleet of motorcycles are available for just such trips.  Blue Strada is also happy to provide Self-Guided Tour assistance in the form of route planning, custom maps, and/or hotel and restaurant suggestions to fit most anyone’s riding interests, length of stay and budget.  All bikes are outfitted with hard-mounted, soft luggage and a tank bag.  Bikes will be picked up and returned to Indian Trail, NC—a suburb of Charlotte.

• A reservation is made in your name once we receive a completed Rental Reservation Form and a $100 deposit
• Payment in full is due when you take delivery of the motorcycle
• At the time of rental, a $1000 damage deposit will be held until return of the bike
• We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards

Rules of the Road*

• All riders must be at least 25 years old
• All passengers must be at least 18 years old
• All riders must provide a valid driver’s license with motorcycle endorsement from their state or country
• All riders must have purchased daily insurance and have a certificate showing proof of insurance for entire duration of rental—until bike is dropped off
• Both riders and passengers must wear a DOT approved helmet and protective eyewear at all times while on the motorcycle
• Proper riding pants, jackets, gloves and footwear are required
• You must have two years experience and 8,000 miles riding a motorcycle of the size you wish to rent and pass an observed test ride.
• The use of drugs and/or alcohol is strictly forbidden while riding

Cancellations

• Cancellations 30 days or more before the pick-up date will be fully refunded
• Cancellations less than 30 days before the pick-up date are not refundable, but can be applied to another rental date

Insurance

• All renters are required to pay a per-day insurance charge of $15.00 plus an additional one time $3.00 processing fee. A certificate showing evidence of this insurance purchase needs to be provided to Blue Strada Tours prior to or at the time of Rental. Supplemental Liability Insurance is also available. Additional details on the purchase of insurance and coverage will be sent after a reservation is made.
• The insurance coverage on the motorcycles has a $1000 deductible and the renter is responsible for the first $1000 of damage to the bike.
• Medical insurance is the renter's responsibility
